Last weekend, I headed out to Lochview Stables near Dunfermline, to do a Portrait shoot with Jill who runs Lochview Stables. We had her two daughters opt for our models, and their two gorgeous ponies, Oreo and Chico. Our shoot was on a blustery weekend in February, and everyone did a fantastic job with cleaning the ponies, and keeping warm throughout the shoot. From shots at the front of the yard, to using some bits and bobs around us, we managed to fly through the shoot and get some beautiful images, finishing off with a small amount of photos to capture the business side of the yard too!

With the In-Person viewing tasking place this week, I'd thought I'd show some little sneak peaks of what we got up to, and touch base on what happens during a viewing. Our viewing is probably the most exciting part of the photoshoot experience, and is when you get to see your final collection of images for the first time! Here's a super brief run through below.

  1.  Image reveal – We’ll begin with a beautifully created slideshow of all your best images, allowing you to experience the full impact of the special moments we captured.
  2.  Selecting Your Favourites – Together, we’ll go through each image individually, sorting them and choosing your absolute favourites.
  3.  Choosing Your First Statement Piece – Your experience includes a stunning frame up to 16-inches. I include this as it is perfect for your first big frame from your shoot, and is the perfect way to display your favourite image from the photoshoot. We will chose your image for this first, and go through my options for frame too is it can fit right into your home.
  4.  Designing Additional Artwork – After designing your 16-inch frame, I then do one of the most important tasks in my job. This is where we decide what to do with the rest of the images in your collection. From 9 in 1 Multi-frames, to 60 image albums, every piece is bespoke and tailored to complement your images and style. Every piece of artwork is designed and crafted, together, in your viewing. This ensures you know exactly what your timeless pieces will look like when they arrive, and you can see how your images can piece together to create a story that can be told in artwork.

We touch base a huge mount on the viewing from the minute you book in. This means the nitty gritty parts like thinking about wall space, and deciding where to hang your frames has already been thought about by the time we get designing.

Stay tuned to hear all about our upcoming yard offer where we will open up some fabulous yard dates in the summer months!
