Hannah was one of my October shoots at Rockrose Equestrian this Autumn, as part of the yard offer launched last year. I meet a lot of horses and ponies in my job, and as a horse person myself, they all have their beautiful part. Gavin however, was one of those Welsh ponies who just knows how striking he is. His dapples were out after his clip, Hannah had done an amazing job at getting him ready, smooth, and very very shiny, and he waltzed out knowing his job for the day was to look epic! We started off the shoot in the stable, making the most of the black background the lighting provided, before heading out to a little courtyard area just outside the stable area.
Hannah wanted the shoot to remain pretty casual, and had brought along jeans, jumpers, boots, and a lovely long tweed jacket. The perfect styling for Autumn. No matter the weather in Kinross, Rockrose always seems to be a little bit windier and more exposed to the elements, so I love to have jumper options to allow everyone to stay cosy!
Rockrose has lots of "levels" to the yard, with lovely brick work, greenery, barns, and lots of character in each one. Hannah had aced her organisation of the morning, and we had the rest of her family, including her little one, who at under 2 years old, was already a big Gavin fan (who can blame him right?) join in for 15 minutes to include all the family into this collection.
To fiinsh our shoot, we heading out to Gavins field for a wander, and to get some of the hills in the background. It was a little bot breezy, so Hannah had the full effects of being in hair product advert at times, but Gavin knew he new job a professional model and was foot perfect!
Hannah designed a few different things in the viewing, all revolving around the images being enjoyed on a daily basis, and printed to be displayed and treasured for years to come! We ha one image from the collection, which will make its way into a big statement frame, in Black and White, and already has a home on the staircase reserved! These types of images deserve to be big, every time you look, you can feel something a little different.
