Autumn is here
Autumn has finally arrived, and this was one of the first shoots showing us some of the beautiful colours it brings with it. Jessie booked in for a shoot last Christmas, and she knew she wanted her gallery to be created in Autumn. Jessie keeps her horses at Hilton Hall, just outside Cupar, and it is the most beautiful yard to be at when the colours start to come through.
Jessie has two horses, Rollo the grey, and Charlie, one of her childhood ponies, who now into his twenties, is a very special family member. Charlie is based somewhere else, loving our his retirement, so he had a little holiday to the yard for this shoot and was on his best behaviour for the day! Jessie got married recently, and we managed to convince her husband to join in for a few images. The image able will have a place in their 16" frame, ready to hang in the new house when it's moving in time!
Starting with our group shots, and ticking off the bareback Jessie knew she would love to come away with, we then had our first change of clothes and spent some time with Charlie on his own. This boy loved being out and about in his adventure away from his usual yard, he lead the way and we kept up! It was s lovely top hear about his showjumping days in the past, and see that he is still a very much loved member of the family.
After Rollo has been having a little break and munching away, it was time to swap ponies, and make sure they each had their time to shine. The sunshine came out, and combined with the location, we got the perfect day!
To end the afternoon, we had discussed Jessie brinaalong her wedding dress. The wedding had been abroad, so it was an opportunity to include the horse's in the memories of the day, even if they couldn't make it across the sea! Jessie had been doing some homework to make sure the horse's were ok walking near the dress, I love what we managed to capture.
Jessie went away with all the images as a digital collection, ensuring they are there to revisit in years to come, and of course her 16" frame included in all my shoots. Her parents loved the images too, and designed a 6in1 to ensure the ponies have a space on their wall too!
