I headed over to Paddockhall livery at the end of June to capture both Honor and Imogen with their two horses. I have shot at Paddockhall before, and it was lovely to be back for this shoot.

The outfits were absolutely on point— flattering, full of characters, and perfect against the rustic backdrops we used. We mixed rugged textures like old barn walls and vibrant hedgerows with the girls’ polished looks, which created a great visual contrast. Nothing too formal or forced—just the kind of timeless styling that works great in these scenarios. Both Honor and Imogen ride competitively, and have very busy summer seasons out with the horses. It was great to press pause for a few hours, and enjoy spending time at the yard without being in too much of a rush.

We had a typical Scottish Summer's day - cloudy, a little bit of warmth, and a breeze. Although we didn't get golden hour twinkles, the softer light from the cloud coverage meant we could have fun with some rustic backgrounds, and some shots using light to show off PJ's lovely plaits. Shona was there helping out get ready in the background, and joined in for a couple of shots towards the end which worked perfectly. Help BTS on these shoots it what helps everything keep running smoothly!

And to finish off, we of course had to let little Bea have her time to shine. She knew her job and looked amazing in front of the lens. It was an absolute pleasure to capture these memories, and I am so please Imogen could have some photos before heading off to uni in the autumn. I always encourage any other family members to join in, especially dogs, even if we need them separately. They are a huge part of our lives, and deserve a little spotlight too.
