introduction and our setting
Ralph ( brown) and Rum (black) were two spaniels who came out to Pitmedden Forest for a shoot in February. They were full of fun and energy, as well as being pretty good models for their first attempt! Sara just wanted a mixed collection of images from their shoot, from group shots, to action shots, and classic portraits, so that's what we did.
The woodland was a tapestry of deep greens, earthy browns, and the orange shimmer of a winter sunrise. The forest was quite quiet for us in the morning, and we only bumped in to a few people.

Character
These guys were shamelessly in spaniel mode the whole time, and it shows beautifully in their images. It was such a pleasure to meet them, and I am so glad we could capture their character in every way. People always call those who have winter shoots "the brave ones" but quite honestly, it's my second favourite time of year to shoot ( minus autumn of course!!) We can lost choose what colours to put into these shots in a varied location like Pitmedden, and they all complement each other perfectly.
If these images make you stop, pause, and think about your own doggies, maybe it's time to get inspired and book a special portrait shoot. There's never quite the perfect time!
Ralph and Rum, it's been a pleasure, I can't wait to see some of your images printed!
