I've been dying to share this shoot with you all, and after our viewing last week I'm so pleased Moira loved her images as much as I do. Their home is nestled on beautiful estate land, some amazing woodland on the doorstep, creating the perfect backdrop for a lifestyle shoot rooted in nature, tranquillity, and connection. This wasn't an ordinary shoot of mine, as we had Sally the donkey as our special guest which was a first time for me!
From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this shoot was about more than photographs. It was about celebrating the life they’ve built together in the last few years. I wanted their images to feel like an invitation into that slow, grounding lifestyle: warm light, soft textures, and the unmistakable bond they share with their animals.
Now, no countryside portrait session is complete without a character, and Sally brought exactly that. She has a mind of her own (as all great personalities do), but with a few bribes, and allowing the shoot to fit in with where she wanted to go, she was fantastic. Tara the Labrador loved being out and about with everyone, and was happy to do whatever we asked of her. Tara has been with Moira and Steve since they first met, and she brought the images together perfectly.
At the end of it all, Moira and Steve designing an amazing 6in1, along with a Fine Art Frame of Tara. There’s something so special about knowing these images will now live on their walls — a daily reminder of a life filled with love, land, laughter, and the animals that complete their family.
