June.. you've thrown it all at us. Sun, Rain, Thunder and lightning, read about it below.
Rain,rain, go away
Well what a June it's been. Heatwaves, thunderstorms, and some cold spells much more suited to February. I wanted to share two shoots below, where we pulled our wellies out of the cupboard and embraced what was thrown at us. Dodging heavy showers meant we had great fun capturing some creative moments.
Getting Imaginative
Upon our location tour, we came across a sofa in one of the tack rooms from these shoots. While we waited for the rain to pass, we brought this to the front of the yard, and managed to capture some of these shots above. Positioning this near the barn doors, where the natural light falls, allowed us to create a stunning black background to all of these images. As you can also see in the top row, we were exposed to a complete downfall of rain. While using what shelter we had available to use, we were able to create some times Black and White images that take me right back to the memories of that fresh rain smell you experience at the yard, waiting for it go off before you ride at pony club camp.
There's still hope!
After 40 minutes or so at the yard. the rain stopped and we dashed out to capture some location shots. The fast moving mist and clouds created some classical Scottish images, and I hope it demonstrates that's when the forecast sometimes dumps us in the rain, we can still capture some lovely moments.
