As we wave goodbye to June and enter the heart of summer, it feels like the perfect time to take a breath.

This month has been noticeably quieter on the equine photography front. Between a holiday, and a unwelcome wave of appendicitis, June has flown away before I really managed to get dug in! While I never like being away from the camera for long, the pause has offered a welcome chance to catch up behind the scenes, reflect, and plan ahead.

Despite the slower pace, summer began with a bang. May and early June were bustling with shoots, editing marathons, and exciting meetings. It’s been a season of creative inspiration, with clients bringing fresh ideas and trusting me to capture their horses’ personalities in the most wonderful ways.

Looking ahead, things are about to ramp up—fast. July will be filled with over 10 photoshoots as the summer holidays are in full swing. August then brings not one, not two, but three trade stands! I’ll be on the road to Moy country fair, alongside The Back Isle Show, which are both located up north, not too faer from Aviemore, followed by Scone International Horse Trails, near Perth. With some epic competitions, lots to win, and big discounts on my show offers, these are perfect times for people to book in.

Commercial Shoots are also finding their space within the business. I have worked with Rénella Equestrian before, so it was lovely to do another shoot with them in June to showcase their new Summer 2025 range, as well as meet some new businesses too!

As we wave goodbye to June, I’m feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready to enjoy the rest of Summer while meeting plenty of special ponies, people and families. If you've been thinking about booking a session, now's a great time to get in touch before things get wild again in August.
