Recently, I had a shoot with Hannah, and her pony Pedro. These guys have been a partnership for many years, and I am so glad Hannah came across my stand at Blair Atholl last year to get this shoot planned. Set against the understated beauty of a rustic livery yard, this shootwas a quiet reminder that meaningful stories don’t need elaborate settings. The location, a working farm full of nooks and crannies, offered unexpected depth — from weathered timber and stone, to soft, natural light filtering through old trees.
Hannah and Pedro have shared many years together, and their connection was instantly clear. Pedro was completely at ease with Hannah, and capturing that bond was an absolute pleasure. We kept the outfits fairly casual, and managed to include a summery dress that was full of character as well. Although we had a cloudy day, doing this shoot in summer meant we go plenty of vibrant greens flowing into Hannah's images
Hannah decided to go home with her full collection of digitals, and an amazing 3in1 to summarise the memories made in this shoot. I can't wait to see these images printed, and I'm sure they will have special space on the wall for many years to come. A big thank you goes to these two for trusting me throughout the experience, and letting me share these special memories.
