At the end of May, we had the pleasure of photographing Amy and her beautiful pony Arielle, just as the Scottish countryside was slipping into the vibrant greens of summertime.

.

The night before the shoot, heavy rain had covered the area, and our morning shoot, everything at the yard was glistening: droplets coated everything in sight. It was one of those morning where everything is super still, quiet, and perfect for capturing slightly different images. We kept things moving to prevent the midges finding us, and I can't wait for you to see some of the images below.

Amy kept things casual and comfortable, which suited the mood of the shoot perfectly. The styling let the natural textures and tones of the landscape take center stage, with Arielle adding in some contrast beautifully. From the rich greens of the summer foliage to the addition of yellows and whites from flowering bushes, our images created a pretty awesome colour palette.

We did a couple ion shots at the barn entrance and although Arielle preferred to be out and about, we got a couple of quick shots in-between outfit changes. There's something about black horses on black background that really stand out when we get it right. I loved working with these two, and Amy went away with all the digital copies, and a stunning 3in1 multi frame to pop in her living room.

Love the feel of these images, get in touch above and I'd love the chat!
