After our Spring date was rescheduled thanks to the weather, Anna and I were finally gifted the most glorious summer’s day for her portrait session with her pony, Button. The sunshine was golden, wrapping everything in a warm glow and giving us those dreamy, twinkling highlights that make images feel utterly magical. It was a fabulous way to wrap up a Summer holidays full of fun getting to know Buttons after her being a fairly new addition to the family, however these two looked as though they'd known each other for years.
Anna brought along three beautiful outfits, each one adding its own character and elegance to the day. From casual jeans and tops, to a lovely summery dress, every look complemented Buttons perfectly. Together they were a joy to work with.
Our location was their livery yard, filled with lots of special areas . We explored rustic wooden stables, wandered through long grass verges, and made the most of my very first stubble field of the year. And then, of course, the daisies—an unforgettable patch of wildflowers that became the backdrop for some of the most magical moments of the entire shoot.
The result? A collection of images that sum up pony days as a teenager perfectly. Anna and her mum chose a stunning 5-in-1 frame, a 16” frame, and the full set of digitals—a perfect way to treasure their images for the future.
Love the style of this shoot? I'd love to chat with you about how we can design a shoot to suit you, and your special horses or ponies. The shoots with teenagers and the ponies that make all the pony dreams come true add a little bit of magic to my job, and I absolutely getting to know everyone involved.
