Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of meeting up with fellow equine photographer Imogen for a relaxed and creative shoot during a journey down south. Based in Derbyshire, Imogen and I have known each other through the photography world for a while, so it was lovely to do a shoot together!
While it was still early March, spring had clearly arrived a little sooner there, daffodils were in full bloom and delicate blossom lined the lanes, allowing a little bit of colour to come through in our collection.
Imogen helps her friend out in looking after and riding Clip, so it felt only natural to include him in the session. He was such an inquisitive guy, but did everything we asked of him. The moment something truly caught his attention, he stood so beautifully, giving us some stunning, character-filled images.
The weather certainly made its presence known, with a blustery March wind adding an extra layer of dramatic hair aesthetic! It's was blowing so perfectly in the eight direction, not very often it's on our side>
To finish the shoot, we brought in Imogen’s two Jack Russells, Charlie and Albert. These two were bursting with personality and completely at home in front of the camera. They added such a fun and lively energy to the session and were an absolute joy to photograph.
It was such a lovely morning, full of great company. I’m so grateful to Imogen for trusting me to capture these special moments for her, and it meant a lot to finally spend some time together doing what we both love.
