Chloe and Sandy

Just over a week ago, I did a shoot with Chloe and her rescue Sandy. Chloe has her own dog walking and pet sitting business, and we decided to work together and bring you all a Christmas phootshoot offer through our collaboration.

Before I get onto that, I'd love to share some of our shoot with you!

the start

We stated off in some long grass with lots and yellows and green to suit Sandy's colouring. Sandy loves all things deer and pheasants which were in abundance this day, so we always had a stash of snacks on us, and I worked with Chloe to get a mixture of on-lead shots and off-lead shots depending on what we were comfortable doing. ( Leads can always be removed, I'd much prefer a safe on lead-shoot, than a chaotic off-lead one!)

The middle

We then headed down to a small river nearby. The light flooded down behind the bridge which Chloe and Sandy sat on, so I decided it was my time to go river wading, and capture the twinkling light that makes these images so special. The river was quite rocky and hard to get into without getting soaked, so we did the bulk of our images here.

To finish

We finished the shoot heading back up to the start of the walk, and we were joined by Lucy and her dog Daisy. We had a play in some bracken, and it almost perfectly matched Sandy's eyes! My favourite thing about doh shoots is the range of shots we capture. From full body shots, to up close headshots, we get a whole range of images to capture their personality, and make use of the locations we choose to use.
