Meet Bear — a lively Husky-Labrador mix full of character and charm. We met early last week in July, to beat the heat and make the most of the quiet forest surroundings. This shoot was a thoughtful gift for Bear’s family, and he definitely delivered!
The forest was bursting with rich greens and pops of yellow, creating the perfect backdrop for Bear to shine. He was full of energy from the moment we arrived, making the shoot both good fun, and making sure his playful character shone through.
The forest was a great setting — full of rich greens and soft yellow tones, giving us a simple, natural backdrop that really let Bear stand out. We started with some close-up portraits while he was still settling in. Bear has a really expressive face, and it didn’t take long to capture some great shots that showed his character — curious, alert, and always watching what was going on
.
Once he got into his stride, we moved into some faster-paced shots. He absolutely loved running through the woods, ears back and legs flying. It was a lot of fun to capture that side of him — full of movement and personality, just doing his thing.
A few days later, Bear’s family came in for an in-person viewing of the final images. It was great to sit down together and go through the gallery — seeing which photos stood out to them, hearing more about Bear, and talking through print and framing options.
All in all, a relaxed and enjoyable shoot with a brilliant dog — and a set of images that really reflect who he is.
