Summer weather and a full house- a lovely evening with Rebecca

Finding the bingo card for summer shoots - not only for the beautiful images we create, but for the warmth, connection, and character that radiates from every moment. Rebecca's portrait session at her home in Fife was one of those unforgettable evenings. We chose to shoot later on around 6-8pm, and it was so worth letting the sun go down a little bit before starting.

With her partner Adam joining us at the start, three stunning horses, and an utterly adorable dog as well, this was a shoot that celebrated the joys of having horses at home.

Set in some of the hills, we made the most of Rebecca’s beautiful location. It’s always a privilege to capture people in places that matter most to them, and this session was a perfect example of why — the relaxed atmosphere, and the genuine smiles that always come easily feeling comfortable at home.

We started with some relaxed group shots — Rebecca and Adam with the horses and Trixie making a small making an appearance too. The big group shots are a little bit chaotic, but they truly represent the horse's characters, and make for a bit of fun to get everyone settled at the start of the shoot.

From there, we took time to let each horse shine. Splitting the session meant we could slow down and really focus on the unique personality of them individually — from gentle cuddly shots to walking shots in the soft evening light. With no rush, we could capture those little moments that shone through when we create an atmosphere to let them do so.

It was an absolute pleasure to spend an evening with these guys, and I can't wait to see the images in print. If you'd love a summery evening shoot, please get in touch below, summer spots are going fast!
