Earlier this summer, I had the joy of photographing Kirsty, her partner, and her two beloved ponies, Mango and Spud. It was one of those wonderfully warm days where the sun stayed tucked behind the clouds, giving us soft light that was perfect for portraits.

Where Kirsty's horses are kept is very beautiful. Lot's of stone walls, summery flowers and foliage, as well as a field full of wild camomile daisies to finish in.

Mango was very much the star of the show. With his striking features, and the usually cheekiness of Welsh D's, he was brilliant fun to photograph. The bond between Kirsty and Mango was lovely to capture, and I'm so glad we got our shoot booked in for summer while Mango's coat was such a vibrant colour.

Spud, the smaller but equally charming pony, joined us for a few group shots. While Mango may have been the main character, Spud added an extra dose of personality and warmth. Together, they made the perfect pair and brought a lovely dynamic to the portraits we captured

Some of my favourite images came from our time in the flower-filled field. The texture of the daisies, and the lush greenery gave us so much variety while still feeling cohesive and natural. It was one of those sessions where everything came together so well.

Kirsty and her partner went home with a fabulous collection of images, including a beautiful 16" frame and a 6-in-1 piece. The layout was perfect for telling their story throughout, showcasing the relationship between them all in such a timeless way. For me, it was not only a privilege to capture these moments, but also a real pleasure to get to know Kirsty, Mango, Spud, and Adam during our time together.
