A Shoot with Elizabeth, Kiwi, Ronnie and Schnapps

It's cherry blossom season and this shoot was well worth the wait! After having to reschedule due to the weather, we were finally treated to a beautiful day for Elizabeth’s shoot. With two horses at home and Schnapps the dog, the farm gave us so many lovely places to work with throughout the session. Elizabeth wanted everything to feel relaxed and natural, so we kept outfits simple with jeans, knitwear, and soft tones that suited the setting perfectly.

We started the shoot with Ronnie, who completely took to the camera from the beginning. We spent some time in the barn first, capturing quieter candid moments before heading to a tree-lined grass track that made the perfect setting for walking shots. Later, we moved to another area of the farm and used a bench for some more relaxed portraits that really showed the connection between them. We then had a horse swap, and it was Kiwi's turn to shine and he looked incredibly proud standing beneath the cherry blossom tree on the drive. We also wandered partway down the drive to make the most of the open space and the beautiful light around the farm. Towards the end of the session, David joined in for a few photographs too, and there was even a request to include “Sunshine” the car in some of the images, which ended up being such a fun addition to the gallery.

Schnapps spent most of the session looking slightly unsure about the whole thing and kept his distance from the camera at first. Curiosity finally got the better of him and he decided to join in too. Those final moments with him brought such warmth and humour to the end of the shoot, and it felt like the perfect way to finish such a memorable day on the farm.
