A Frosty Morning Photoshoot with Moose the Labrador

A recent photoshoot with Moose took place one of those morning that are my absolute favourites. During our last cold snap, we had our shoot first thing after the sun had come up, and with a small dusting of snow still dotted about, we got some lovely wintery themed images.

Moose is a four-year-old fox red Labrador who absolutely loves his job. We planned a training-based shoot, incorporating retrieves throughout to keep his mind engaged and give him something he genuinely enjoys doing.

The result was a wonderful variety of images. We captured plenty of action shots, quiet moments, and a couple of special headshots. Our shoot took place in a little woodland loop, with lots of rough coverage, and bracken to hunt in. We are so lucky to have some amazing locations on our doorsteps, with different ones giving every shoot their own special feel.

It’s always rewarding to see a session come together like this, especially when the images let character shine through. Moose’s owner chose a beautiful 6-in-1 frame to display their favourites, and I honestly can’t wait to see it hanging proudly on the wall. Seeing photographs become part of someone’s home is always the best part of what I do.
