A Woodland Adventure with Toby – A march Photoshoot
A couple of weeks ago I had a photoshoot with Toby the Vizsla, who booked in during one of my Christmas markets.
This shoot took place in one of my favourite woodland location for dog photoshoots, especially for the working line breeds, which is Pitmedden Forest, just outside Auchtermuchty. Toby was full of energy, and I always love to let the dogs have a run around in between shots. My shoots usually follow a small loop in the forest, and we often treat it as a walk, with little stops at certain places for images. I find this keeps them happy, allows them to have a walk as they usually would in their routine, and also we only ask for their attention when we need it which keeps them super responsive!
The soft woodland light framed him perfectly, and his amazing coat colour blended in perfectly with the soft and muted tones found before the vibrancy of spring comes into full force.. Whether in action or still, Toby embodied the fun and energetic character listen associated with this breed. This guy definitely added Vizslas to my list of favourite dogs to shoot ( it's getting very long) and I hope to meet many more similar to Toby! A little funny one to finish off our collection is below. We always get the ears and the cheeks in slow motion in our action shots, and even though they are a little less serious, they are treasured just as much.

Toby's owners loved the images, and wanted to make sure they had the perfect space on the wall for one after decorating this year. Therefore, leaving the experience with the full collection of digitals was the perfect option for them, and I am so glad they can treasure these photos for years to come, and create their own artwork when the time is right.
