Last weekend I headed down to Cumbria to do a couple of shoots. My first one was the Jemma, her two ponies and Labrador, Pippin. Jemma and I had decided we wanted a cowgirl/boho theme in her shoot, and to say she nailed it is an understatement. I arrived, and we had a sofa full of different outfits. Although this can sometimes take 15 minutes to work through and make our final decisions, I much prefer people laying out everything they have in mind, compared to no options at all.

We started off the shoot at the stables at home, and a little woodland track down behind the house. We used their stallion, King for these and he was a star. In classic stallion fashion, we tried to keep everything moving as much as possible in-between shots and kept his mind busy. King is loved by all the family, and I am so happy they chose to frame some of these moments in a 3in1. Take a look at the first outfit below, I love the frayed leather jacket, and the wide leg jeans fitted in beautifully.

We then moved to areas surrounding the house. This was great fun as we found some lovely spots within the front yard, which is usually overlooked from day to day, so it was lovely to bring attention to the beauty of it. We let King have the rest of the morning off from photoshoot duties, and switched to Meg, who was I think, was quite enjoying the spotlight! We wet for a lovely floaty dress, and a denim jacket with a beautiful detailed back which you can see in the images below.

We then headed to a summer field down the road for our last outfit and location, we changed into a white, flowy dress, and added a hat and belt to top it off. The second we finished shooting the rain started, and you can see it looming over us in a very dramatic fashion. Lovely Pippin joined us for this part, and I feel extremely privileged to have captured Jemma just being at home with her animals.

I then headed off, and sorted through Jemma's photos overnight so she could see them before I headed back home. They decided to go for two 3 in 1 frames, which I think are always a perfect choice to allow a story to be told through the images. I can't wait to see them up on the wall, and hope to do another shoot with this lovely lot soon.
