A Equine Portraiture Session with Chelsea and her two special horses
This past week, I had the privilege of doing a shoot with Chelsea and her two horses. The setting could not have been more perfect. We shot at Paddockhall Livery on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, and we got cloudless skies too! The yard was the perfect example of a busy yard on the weekend, and with lots going on, it was the perfect opportunity to demonstrate we can still create timeless images in super simple locations, while working quickly to keep the horses occupied and happy! Bathed in sunlight, the entire day shoot unfolded beautifully as we moved through various locations around the yard.

From the stunning effect of the black backgrounds, to the rustic charm of the iron barns, every backdrop provided a unique canvas to showcase the deep bond Chelsea shares with her horses. We finished down the grass track, and on the driveway to make sure we got our foliage too. Shooting in bright sunlight really brings the yard to life as we bordered on the start of April, and it highlighted the beautiful bond these guys all share.

This shoot was made even more special through a wonderful collaboration with Paddockhall Livery, and I’m thrilled to share that there is more to come in the next few weeks. Seeing these images come to life in print will be truly rewarding—I can hardly wait to see them displayed in a luxury album and a stunning 6-in-1 frame.
Stay tuned for more from this exciting session, and if you are considering your own bespoke equine portrait experience, I would love to chat!
