A Year in Seasons — Shoots at Totleywells Equestrian


This year I’ve had the absolute pleasure of photographing at Totlerywells Equestrian across three very different shoots — one in each season. Each visit has shown me a new side to the yard and the wonderful horses who call it home. Watching the place change with the weather has been such a joy; from the first fresh greens of spring to the golden light of summer and the quiet richness of autumn, every shoot has carried its own special moments.


Spring — Fresh Starts & Gentle Light

My first visit of the year came just as the yard was waking up from winter. The event season had just started, and we were just starting to see small signs of the nicer weather round the corner. I shot with Gemma, Sierra, and Flash to open up our yard offer before the summer season.

Summer — Warm Evenings & Golden Fields


By summer, the yard was in full bloom, surrounded by fields full of tall crops before they are cut to stubble for the Autumn. The second shoot took place with Marina, her pony Max, and partner Gus who have very kindly shared a little recap from their shoot at the top of this blog.


We got classic Scottish summery day, grey, cloudy, and mild, however this made for lovely even light for our photos allowing all the summer colours to come through in the fields. Max was fabulous for the shoot, and it was such a fun afternoon.

Autumn — Quiet Beauty & Changing Light


My final shoot of the year took place as the leaves began to turn. The mornings were crisp, the air still, and the yard felt beautifully calm. Autumn brings a different kind of beauty — rich colours, soft light, and a sense of reflection that translates perfectly into photographs. It was the ideal way to close out a year of incredible moments at the yard. Jacquline booked in at the start of the year with our yard offer, and I'm so glad we managed to do a shoot in Autumn with the stubble fields there for us to use.

Looking Ahead — Yard Offer reopens with a Christmas Twist


As we approach the festive season, I am re launching our yard offer for those based at Totleywells, opening up the perfect opportunity to book in for a photoshoot as a Christmas present! All my clients receive a full year to use their photoshoot after booking in, so if you have a favourite season, it's something we can plan our shoot around.


My diary has limited number of shoots spaces each month to keep each one relaxed, personal, and unique.
